On Sunday 21st November 2021 our company Daryl Upsall International reached the grand old age of 20 and would like to thank all of our clients, colleagues, friends, family and fellow travellers that have been with us during the last 20 years of proudly supporting the non-profit community worldwide.
In many ways it seemed crazy to move with my family from Amsterdam to Madrid and open a company with the ambition of supporting the international non-profit sector. I started a home office furnished with the most basic IKEA furniture I had bought and varnished in Amsterdam and a simple, white Dell computer.

Some 20 years later, thanks to COVID 19, I am back in the same office, at the same desk, though with a much better computer and screen writing this message
Daryl Upsall International continues to provide excellent both recruitment and consulting services to over many of the world’s largest and best-known international NGOs and UN agencies and some 125 national charities, cultural institutions and universities in more than 60 countries. We have successfully hired over 682 positions for 226 organisations in 129 locations worldwide.
Today, we have a great international team of colleagues; modern offices only 10 minutes’ walk from my home office; two separate but integrated consulting and recruitment companies; greatly appreciated and valued clients across the globe and highly successful sister agencies providing telephone, face to face and digital fundraising services.
In the coming weeks and months, we will be sharing with you our insights and learnings over the last 20 years, the trends impacting and influencing the non-profit and social change sector that we predicted and have seen come true, and those that we missed. We will also do some fresh crystal ball gazing to suggest what changes we might expect in the next 5-, 10- and 20-years’ time from now.
