12 Mar Congratulations to Lumos on hiring a new CEO

It is with pleasure that we announce the hire of Peter McDermott in the role after an extensive international search process run by Daryl Upsall International. Zoe Oldham, Senior International Consultant who lead the recruitment process comments,

“We had an amazingly strong pool of candidates and we are thrilled to see Peter accept this role to take Lumos to the next level in their global outreach and fundraising to end the institutionalisation of children all over the world by 2050. Ahead of Peter´s start in June, we are currently completing searches for two Director roles that will support the work of Lumos. We are thrilled to be supporting Lumos as they embark on a journey to implement their new strategy to drive their mission forward.”

Lumos is an international children’s charity founded in 2005 by children’s author J.K. Rowling to end the harmful practice of institutionalisation of children. Lumos’ mission is to fight for every child’s right to a family by transforming care systems around the world.  Our vision is for all children to grow up in safe and loving families.
