Karem is a marketing specialist with 6 years of experience in the non-profit sector and extensive previous experience in the corporate consulting sector. She is specialized in strategic business planning and growth strategies. Her work at Daryl Upsall International is in supporting both the international consultancy and recruitment worldwide.
Previous to joining the agency and for more than a decade, she worked as the Marketing Director for the Latin American region at KPMG International where she was responsible for the creation and structure development of the marketing departments of 16 countries and their alignment with the go to market strategy of KPMG International.
In the non-profit sector, she created a crowdfunding model for tourism entrepreneurs awarded by Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and National Geographic to develop Sustainable Tourism in Indigenous communities in Venezuela and also in Africa.
Karem has earned and BA in Art and also in Marketing and Advertising from the Universidad Católica of Caracas. Has postgraduate Marketing degree in Harvard Business School and also in Sustainable Development from the Universidad Simón Bolívar in Caracas. She is bilingual in English and Spanish.
