Katharina Steinkellner

Katharina is a passionate leadership giving fundraiser. For almost 20 years she has been engaging major donors, corporate partners, trusts, foundations and governments in humanitarian, cultural and environmental causes.

Throughout her global career she has led diverse teams and high-target international projects from concept to completion in the public and non-profit sectors. Katharina has successfully built the leadership giving programme and teams in complex organisations – globally at SOS Children’s Villages and nationally in the UK at the Science Museum Group and the National Trust, Europe’s largest nature and heritage conservation charity. She is a trusted fundraising advisor to internal and external senior stakeholders and has extensive experience working with fundraising boards, including at Serpentine, the world-renowned contemporary arts organisation in London, where she acted as Director of Development.

She has joined Daryl Upsall International specialising in high-value fundraising readiness assessments and evaluations of market potential.
Katharina is a strong advocate of professional development in the fundraising sector and is a frequent conference speaker on corporate social responsibility, philanthropy and leadership at conferences and events in Europe and the USA, including the International Fundraising Congress (IFC), the AFP International Fundraising Conference or the European Development Days. She also served as Advisory Panel Member of Rogare, The Fundraising Think Tank of the University of Plymouth Hartsook Centre for Sustainable Philanthropy from 2016 to 2019. Besides her mother tongue German, Katharina is fluent in English and conversational in French.
